Gwiazdy europejskiego triathlonu na zawodach Ironman
Gwiazdy europejskiego triathlonu zjeżdżają do Gdyni – na Herbalife Ironman 70.3.
– To ogromne przedsięwzięcie, przy którym pomaga rekordowa liczba wolontariuszy – mówi dyrektor Herbalife IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia Michał Drelich.
Zawodnicy będą pływać na dystansie tysiąca 900-t metrów, jechać na rowerze 90 km i biec ponad 21 km. Ich zmaganiom towarzyszą imprezy towarzyszące. Jutro odbędzie się m.in. oficjalny trening pływacki przy gdyńskiej plaży miejskiej i Aquathlon przy Bulwarze Nadmorskim, w sobotę rano na Skwerze Kościuszki sprinty i sztafety, tam też też otwarta zostanie Strefa Regeneracji. W niedzielę natomiast zmagania w Ironmanie.
Start wyścigu głównego w niedzielę o 9 rano przy plaży miejskiej w Gdyni. Po rywalizacji w wodzie odbędzie się wyścig rowerowy ulicami Gdyni, Rumi i gminy Kosakowo, na zakończenie natomiast bieg. Na trasie wyścigu ruch samochodowy zostanie całkowicie wstrzymany, przygotowano na niej 10 punktów kibicowania.
