Góra Markowca w Rumi zostanie zagospodarowana
W Rumi zagospodarują Górę Markowca – na terenach przejętych od prywatnych właścicieli. Budowa infrastruktury do rekreacji wpisuje się w rewitalizację osiedla Zagórze.
Góra Markowca jest jednym z krajobrazowych symboli w Rumi. Miejski samorząd chciał tam wybudować dużą wieżę widokową, nie udało się jednak zdobyć dofinansowania. Plany zweryfikowano dzięki wykupieniu kluczowego terenu – od prywatnych właścicieli miasto przejęło prawie 2,5 hektara na szczycie wzgórza. Zostaną one zagospodarowane na cele rekreacyjno – edukacyjne. Wykupienie kluczowego obszaru Góry Markowca jest kolejnym krokiem na drodze rewitalizacji całego wzniesienia, a także znajdującego się w jego pobliżu osiedla mieszkaniowego. To właśnie na działania w Zagórzu miasto pozyskało unijne środki.
Na rewitalizację Zagórza i Góry Markowca Rumia otrzyma 9,5 mln zł ze Zintegrowanych Inwestycji Terytorialnych, czyli środków unijnych oddanych do dyspozycji trójmiejskiej metropolii.
