Gdyńskie Centrum Filmowe oficjalnie otwarte
To nowa siedziba Gdyńskiej Szkoły Filmowej i całoroczne, nowe miejsce kulturalnych spotkań.
– To miejsce, w którym święto polskiego kina na stałe zagości w naszym mieście – mówił prezydent Gdyni Wojciech Szczurek.
Trzypiętrowy gmach powstał przy Placu Grunwaldzkim 2. Po sąsiedzku znajduje się otwarta od kilku tygodni kolejka na Kamienną Górę, zbudowano też parking podziemny na 200 aut, a wokół przybyło zieleni. Koszt całej inwestycji to 37 mln złotych. Uroczyste otwarcie Centrum z udziałem mieszkańców miasta odbyło się w przeddzień 40. Festiwalu Filmowego w Gdyni. Gdyńskie Centrum Filmowe pochwalić się może największym w regionie Kinem Studyjnym. Trzy sale: Warszawa, Goplana i Morskie Oko pomieszczą odpowiednio 45, 96 i 227 widzów. Gmach zrobił duże wrażenie na zwiedzających. Otwarciu towarzyszyły spotkania z gwiazdami kina, premiery filmowe, pokazy charakteryzacji. Dzisiaj natomiast rozpoczynają się tam konkursowe pokazy 40.
