Gdynia wyróżniona na Kongresie Rodzicielstwa Zastępczego
Gdynia wśród 8 samorządów w Polsce wyróżnionych za wieloletnią misję budowy przyjaznego systemu pieczy zastępczej. Z Pomorza dostrzeżono też Gdańsk oraz powiat wejherowski.
– Wierzymy w „kameralne wychowanie”, a nie duże instytucje – mówi wiceprezydent Gdyni, Michał Guć.
Wyróżnienia przyznała Koalicja na Rzecz Rodzicielstwa Zastępczego – organizacja praktyków, którzy walczą o prawa dziecka do wychowania w rodzinie. W Gdyni obecnie funkcjonują 232 rodziny zastępcze, z czego 12 to rodzinne domy dziecka, które wychowują nawet do ośmiu podopiecznych. Miasto jako jedno z pierwszych w Polsce realizowało zapisy, obowiązując od ponad 2 lat, ustawy o wspieraniu rodziny i systemie pieczy zastępczej. Oprócz Gdyni Koalicja na Rzecz Rodzicielstwa Zastępczego doceniła także wysiłki Gdańska, Kielc Radomia i Rybnika, oraz powiatów wejherowskiego, legionowskiego, tureckiego i bialskiego.
