Gdynia wprowadzi nową usługę w transporcie: Car-sharing
Gdynia rozpoczęła prace nad wprowadzeniem nowej usługi w transporcie. Chodzi o tzw. Car-sharing polegający na zorganizowanym wspólnym użytkowaniu ogólnodostępnych samochodów.
Usługa kierowana jest przede wszystkim do osób, które nie chcą mieć samochodu na własność, młodych kierowców których jeszcze nie stać na zakup pojazdu, a także turystów odwiedzających miasto. Oprócz wygody ma przyczynić się do zmniejszenia aut w mieście i redukcji zanieczyszczenia środowiska. Car-sharing zakłada wypożyczanie pojazdów na godziny lub na zasadzie „start – stop”, czyli od momentu wypożyczenia do momentu zdania auta. Wynika to z konieczności dotankowywania lub doładowywania pojazdów i ich serwisowania.
Gdynia planuje współpracę z kilkoma samorządami na obszarze wykraczającym poza jedno miasto. Propozycje zostały już złożone sąsiednim powiatom i gminom.
