W Gdyni uruchomiono bezpłatną ofertę dla opiekunów osób starszych – tzw. usługę wytchnieniową.
Można z niej skorzystać, gdy trzeba na krótko zapewnić seniorowi profesjonalną opiekę. Taka okazja będzie raz w miesiącu na trzy godziny w świetlicach opiekuńczych w centrum miasta. – To nowa formuła wsparcia dla osób opiekujących się seniorami – mówi wiceprezydent Gdyni Michał Guć. Usługę wytchnieniową uruchomiono w otwartych w zeszłym roku dwóch świetlicach opiekuńczych w centrum miasta. Prowadzi je Miejski Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej. – Wystarczy zgłosić taką potrzebę – wyjaśnia zastępca dyrektora MOPS Katarzyna Stec. Umawiać można się z pracownikami świetlicy przy Armii Krajowej w godzinach 7:30 – 16:30. Miejski samorząd planuje sukcesywnie uruchamiać dla seniorów kolejne świetlice opiekuńcze – a w nich także usługę wytchnieniową, jeśli będzie takie zapotrzebowanie.
