Gdynia w przyszłości chce tankować autobusy wodorem
Podpisany w tej sprawie list intencyjny rozpoczyna współpracę miasta z Grupą Lotos S.A. Ma ona umożliwić wykorzystanie ekologicznego zasilania komunikacji publicznej.
Wodór, by mógł stać się paliwem musi osiągnąć odpowiedni poziom czystości. W tym celu grupa Lotos planuje budowę instalacji oczyszczania oraz stację dystrybucji i tankowania wodoru. Wspólny projekt z Gdynią jest unikalny w skali europejskiej – zaznacza Mateusz Aleksander Bonca, prezes zarządu Grupy Lotos. Gdynia chce przeprowadzić pilotaż takiego paliwa, by stwierdzić, czy jest on dla miasta dobrym rozwiązaniem. Jak zapewnia prezydent Wojciech Szczurek, organizując przetargi na zakup nowych jednostek, będziemy formułować zapytania i szukać firm, które zaoferują nam możliwość takiego zasilania autobusów. Pojazdy na wodór coraz częściej pojawiają się na ulicach europejskich miast. Są m.in. w Londynie, Oslo, Mediolanie, Berlinie, Kolonii czy Hamburgu.
