15 nowych autobusów zasilanych gazem ziemnym wyjechało na ulice Gdyni. To część większego projektu – wymiany taboru i stworzenia pierwszych w Gdyni buspasów. Nowe autobusy to niskopodłogowe, jednoczłonowe pojazdy, każdy kosztował 1 mln 150 tysięcy złotych.
Na ulicach Gdyni zastąpiły 15 najstarszych autobusów tamtejszego Przedsiębiorstwa Komunikacji Miejskiej. Zakupiono je w ramach większego projektu, w którego ramach na przełomie stycznia i lutego do Gdyni trafi kolejnych 15 autobusów. Tym razem będą to pojazdy zasilane olejem napędowym i wejdą w skład taboru innego gdyńskiego przewoźnika – Przedsiębiorstwa Komunikacji Autobusowej. Projekt zakładał także stworzenie pierwszych w Gdyni pasów, przeznaczonych tylko dla pojazdów komunikacji miejskiej. Półtorakilometrowy tzw. buspas powstał już wzdłuż ulicy Kieleckiej w kierunku Witomina. Krótszy – 350 metrowy powstanie wiosną na ulicy Morskiej. Obejmie odcinek ulicy w kierunku Chyloni między ul. Zakręt do Oksywia, a Estakadą Kwiatkowskiego. Całkowita wartość projektu zamknęła się w kwocie 38 mln 800. tysięcy złotych, z czego 16 mln 300 tysięcy to dofinansowanie unijne.
