Gaj Świętopełka w Kartuzach jednak czekają zmiany – miejscy radni dali zielone światło.
Sprawa, która w mieście budziła wiele emocji, znalazła swój finał na ostatniej sesji, gdy rada przegłosowała przeznaczenie dodatkowych 600 tys zł na nowe alejki. W tej sprawie przeprowadzono już dwa przetargi, w obu wyceny wykonawców przekraczały założenia gminy. I choć po pierwszym przetargu radni nie zgodzili się na dołożenie do inwestycji, po drugim nie mieli już większych zastrzeżeń. – Dzięki temu Gaj Świętopełka zyska ścieżkę pieszo – rowerową, a nad jeziorem Karczemnym powstanie kolejny odcinek promenady – mówi burmistrz Kartuz Grzegorz Gołuński. Pomysł utwardzania ścieżek w Gaju Świętopełka wcześniej krytykowała część radnych i mieszkańców Kartuz, którym nie podobało się użycie mieszanki zawierającej asfalt. Ostatecznie jednak nie wniesiono żadnych poprawek do pierwotnej wersji projektu.
