Fragment wraku rządowego Tupolewa pozostanie w Kościerzynie
Fragment wraku rządowego Tupolewa ze Smoleńska pozostanie w Kościerzynie – stwierdziła Naczelna Prokuratura Wojskowa. Badała jego autentyczność oraz przydatność do ewentualnej rekonstrukcji wraku w przyszłości.
– Potwierdzono, że jest to fragment Tupolewa – mówi nam organizator smoleńskich uroczystości w Kościerzynie Kazimierz Maszk.
Kawałek wraku samolotu trafił do Kościerzyny dzięki grupie turystów zwiedzającej miejsce katastrofy w Smoleńsku. Jeden z uczestników zauważył wbity w drzewo element przypominający fragment samolotu. Wydłubał go śrubokrętem i przywiózł do Kościerzyny. 10 kwietnia tego roku w piątą rocznicę katastrofy smoleńskiej pamiątkę wraz z ziemią ze Smoleńska umieszczono w specjalnej urnie przy Tablicy Smoleńskiej i pomniku Chrystusa Króla w centrum miasta. Sprawę nagłośniły media ogólnopolskie, a autentyczność przedmiotu zbadała Naczelna Prokuratura Wojskowa. Jeśli wrak Tupolewa trafi do Polski, prokuratura nie wyklucza że kościerski fragment przyda się do rekonstrukcji. Dlatego w Kościerzynie zostanie powołana przez prokuraturę osoba godna zaufania, która będzie sprawowała nad nim pieczę. Fragment wraku wraz z Tablicą Smoleńską znajdują się w Kościerzynie przy ulicy Kaplicznej.
