Dziś zostanie zwodowany niszczyciel min Kormoran II
Niszczyciel min Kormoran II zostanie dziś zwodowany w Gdańsku. W uroczystości ma wziąć udział premier Ewa Kopacz.
Program budowy okrętu ruszył w 2007 r. Zadanie jest realizowane jako praca rozwojowa, polegająca na zaprojektowaniu i wybudowaniu prototypu nowoczesnego okrętu poszukiwania, identyfikacji, klasyfikacji i zwalczania min. Po wodowaniu Kormorana II rozpocznie się jego wyposażanie – montaż uzbrojenia, systemów rozpoznania i łączności. Okręt ma wejść do służby pod koniec przyszłego roku, ma działać na Bałtyku, Morzu Północnym i innych akwenach w ramach działań sojuszniczych.
Kolejne dwie jednostki tej klasy mają zostać przekazane wojsku w latach 2019 i 2022. (Fot: Marynarka Wojenna RP)
