Dziś Płaczëbóg – dzień ukrzyżowania Jezusa
Dziś Wielki Piątek, dzień ukrzyżowania Jezusa, określany na Kaszubach jeszcze często terminem Płaczëbóg.
Dawniej bylibyśmy już z samego rana wysmagani przez nasze mamy gałązkami agrestu lub jałowca. Zwyczaj ten zwany jest Bòżé Renë. Ma nam przypominać o cierpieniu Chrystusa ukrzyżowanego. W Wielki Piątek przestrzegamy ścisłego postu. Kończymy przedświąteczne porządki. Wieczorem obmywano się niegdyś w jeziorach, czy rzekach wierząc że taka kąpiel uwolni od chorób oczu i skóry.
We wszystkich kościołach milkną dzwony, które zabiją dopiero w Wielkanoc dając znak, że Chrystus zmartwychwstał. Hałas kołatek i terkotek będzie nam przypominać o żałobie po śmierci Jezusa.
Kaszubscy gospodarze bacznie obserwowali dawniej w Wielki Piątek pogodę. Deszcz wróżył mokre lato, natomiast słońce zapowiadało upalne letnie miesiące.
