Dziś obchodzimy Święto Flagi Kaszubskiej
Dzisiaj Kaszubi manifestują swoją tożsamość. Obchodzimy Dzień Flagi Kaszubskiej. Czarno – żółte barwy powiewają na ulicach miast, przy naszych domach a także samochodach. W ostatnim Spisie Powszechnym 228 tysięcy mieszkańców Polski zadeklarowało, że czuje się Kaszubami. Według naukowców badających rodowody rodzinne – Kaszubów jest ponad pół miliona. Najwięcej nas mieszka w Gdyni – ponad 80 tysięcy, na drugim miejscu jest Gdańsk z 50 tysiącami Kaszubów, na trzecim – Wejherowo – gdzie mieszka 30 tysięcy Kaszubów. Według obliczeń naukowców 64% z nas zna swój język. Tożsamość określamy często na podstawie naszego pochodzenia, miejsca zamieszkania, znajomości języka czy historii. To po prostu się czuję – mówią naszemu reporterowi Piotrowi Szycy – młodzie mieszkańcy Kościerzyny. Dzisiaj Radio Kaszëbë ze stowarzyszeniem Kaszebskô Jednota i Kaszubskim Instytutem Rozwoju rozdawać będzie kaszubskiej flagi samochodowe. Spotykamy się w samo południe na rynkach w Pucku, Wejherowie, Kościerzynie, Kartuzach i Bytowie.
