Dziś obchodzimy Światowy Dzień Turystyki
Prezentacją swoich międzynarodowych osiągnięć uczcili go uczniowie Zespołu Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych w Somoninie.
Święto to zostało ustanowione w 1979 przez ONZ, by zwrócić uwagę na rolę turystyki w rozwoju gospodarczym, społecznym i kulturalnym społeczeństw na całym świecie. Regionalne obchody Światowego Dnia Turystyki na Pomorzu odbędą się w piątek, 29 września w Gdańskim Teatrze Szekspirowskim. Tymczasem, już dzisiaj święto turystyki obchodzono w Zespole Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych w Somoninie. Tamtejsi uczniowie to prawdziwi globtroterzy – odbywają staże i praktyki w wielu krajach, o których opowiedzieli dziś swoim rówieśnikom.
Podczas regionalnych obchodów Światowego Dnia Turystyki, tradycyjnie już marszałek województwa Mieczysław Struk wręczy nagrody za zasługi dla rozwoju turystyki w regionie. Uroczystość odbędzie się w piątek o godzinie 10:00 w Teatrze Szekspirowskim w Gdańsku.
