Dostaną ponad milion złotych na budowę Biblioteki Kaszubskiej
Ponad milion złotych otrzyma Rumia na utworzenie Biblioteki Kaszubskiej. Stanie ona w tzw. Starej Rumi, jako jeden z elementów planowanej rewitalizacji dzielnicy.
– Ma stać się jedną z wizytówek Rumi i upiększyć jedną z najbardziej zaniedbanych dzielnic miasta – mówi dyrektor rumskiej biblioteki, Krystyna Laskowicz.
Obiekt zajmie dwa lokale na Placu Kaszubskim i docelowo zastąpi filię nr 2 Miejskiej Biblioteki Publicznej, zwiększając jednocześnie trzykrotnie swoją powierzchnię. Obok literatury klasycznej, rozrywkowej czy popularnonaukowej bibliofile będą mogli w niej znaleźć także wiele pozycji traktujących o historii i tradycji Kaszubskiej. Jednocześnie – jak podkreśla Krystyna Laskowicz – duży nacisk położony będzie na gromadzenie zbiorów promujących współcześnie powstającą sztukę i literaturę Kaszubską.Rumski magistrat na realizację tej inwestycji wyłoży 80 tysięcy, czyli niemal 1 milion 100 tysięcy złotych pochodzić będzie z dotacji Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego.
