Dostali odznaczenie Przyjaciel Żeglarstwa Polskiego
Powiatowe Centrum Młodzieży w Garczynie z Odznaczeniem Przyjaciel Żeglarstwa Polskiego. To wyróżnienie nadawane za znaczące wsparcie organizacyjne lub finansowe działań Polskiego Związku Żeglarskiego. Od 2008 roku otrzymało je 13 osób i jedna instytucja, którą jest właśnie Powiatowe Centrum Młodzieży w Garczynie.
– To wielki zaszczyt dla naszej organizacji mówi jej dyrektor Marek Wołoszyk.
Powiatowe Centrum Młodzieży prowadzi całoroczne bezpłatne szkolenia dla dzieci i młodzieży z powiatu kościerskiego. Owocem tej działalności jest wyszkolenie ponad 160 żeglarzy jachtowych, kilkunastu instruktorów żeglarstwa oraz rozbudzenie pasji do żeglarstwa wśród najmłodszych, którzy do dzisiaj szlifują swoje umiejętności na mniejszych jachtach typu Optimist. Uroczyste wręczenie odznaczenia odbędzie się 25 kwietnia w Centrum Olimpijskim PKOL w Warszawie.
