Dokładnie 200 lat temu urodził się Florian Ceynowa. Budziciela Kaszub upamiętnią z tej okazji w Sianowie – w niedzielę odsłonięciem pamiątkowego obelisku.
– W uznaniu za jego zasługi chcemy upamiętnić tę wybitną postać – mówi Eugeniusz Pryczkowski.
Florian Ceynowa jako pierwszy stwierdził, że Kaszubi są odrębnym narodem i należy im się godne miejsce wśród innych ludów słowiańskich. Z zawodu lekarz był kaszubskim działaczem społecznym, pisarzem, publicystą, badaczem folkloru, twórcą pisowni kaszubskiej i pierwszych kaszubskich utworów literackich. Uroczystości w jego 200 urodziny organizują oddziały ZKP z Sianowa i Banina. Uroczystości odbędą się 7 maja w Sianowie. Rozpoczną się o 9:00 mszą w sanktuarium i odsłonięciem obelisku poświęconego Florianowi Ceynowie – z kaszubskim gryfem i napisem: „Òjc kaszëbsczi rësznotë i lëteraturë kaszëbsczi”. Część oficjalna odbędzie się od 10:45 w gimnazjum w Staniszewie, z prezentacją książki „Kaszëbskô młodëch rewòlucjô”.
