Do pracy jadę rowerem – z takim hasłem na jednośladzie porusza się ponad 700 osób pracujących w Gdyni. 74 firmy przystąpiły do konkursu Urzędu Miasta, wśród nich nie tylko firmy z sektora prywatnego, ale też pracownicy Akademii Marynarki Wojennej, bibliotek, muzeów czy placówek Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. Konkurs ma promować zdrowy środek transportu oraz miejskie inwestycje w infrastrukturę rowerową. Firmy rywalizują też między sobą i nagradzają pracowników między innymi za najdłuższą „serię” dojazdów do pracy czy najdłuższy przejazd. Jeździmy od 01 kwietnia, konkurs kończy się 31 lipca – podsumowuje Katarzyna Sierpińska z Zarządu Zieleni w Gdańsku. Ciekawe statystyki dotyczą osób które wzięły udział w konkursie na dojazd do pracy z rowerem. Są to osoby w różnym wieku z których większość uważa dojazd rowerem za sposób zmniejszania zanieczyszczeń i korków w mieście, deklaruje też dojazdy do innych miejsc w miarę rozbudowy infrastruktury.
