Do 2022 roku ma zostać wykonany przekop Mierzei Wiślanej
Do 2022 roku ma zostać wykonany przekop Mierzei Wiślanej – ogłoszono w Gdyni podczas posiedzenia Sejmowej Komisji Gospodarki Morskiej i Żeglugi Śródlądowej.
Z udziałem pomorskich posłów i ministra gospodarki wodnej Marka Gróbarczyka komisja zebrała się wczoraj w Urzędzie Morskim w Gdyni. Budowa kanału żeglugowego, który ma ożywić port w Elblągu była jednym z głównych tematów. Minister Gróbarczyk zapewniał, że temat jest na etapie uzgodnień z Komisją Europejską. Według Anny Stelmaszczyk – Świerczyńskiej z Urzędu Morskiego przekop może być gotowy do 2022 roku.
Przekop Mierzei Wiślanej ma ożywić port w Elblągu, na nowym kanale żeglugowym skorzystać ma też Polska wschodnia i handel zagraniczny, choćby z Ukrainą – bo inwestycja ma być połączona z planowaną drogą ekspresową Via Carpatia. W grę wchodzą też względy bezpieczeństwa w napiętej sytuacji geopolitycznej.
