Czy NORDA i GOM będą wspólnie działać dla Pomorza?
– To mądry kompromis – mówi prezydent Gdyni o deklaracji połączenia Forum NORDA i Stowarzyszenia GOM we wspólne Stowarzyszenie mające działać na rzecz rozwoju Pomorza.
– Połączenie sił to konsekwencja dobrego klimatu do rozmów – prowadzonych m.in. w celu realizacji Zintegrowanych Inwestycji Terytorialnych w Pomorskiem w latach 2014-20 – mówi prezydent Gdyni Wojciech Szczurek.
Oprócz Wojciecha Szczurka, z którego inicjatywy powstało Metropolitalne Forum Wójtów, Burmistrzów, Prezydentów i Starostów NORDA skupiające przedstawicieli 20 samorządów, za porozumieniem są także prezydent Sopotu Jacek Karnowski i Gdańska – Paweł Adamowicz, obaj z zarządu Gdańskiego Obszaru Metropolitalnego, zrzeszającego 49 samorządów.
Pierwszym zadaniem nowego Stowarzyszenia ma być wspólne przygotowanie programu Zintegrowanych Inwestycji Terytorialnych – do wykorzystania jest 1 miliard złotych z unijnych środków. Te pieniądze mają posłużyć rozwojowi całego regionu, także gmin spoza ścisłego centrum.
