Czy będzie województwo środkowopomorskie?
Na skutki związane ze wdrażaniem środków z Unii Europejskiej i zagrożenia dla tożsamości regionalnej w związku pomysłem utworzenia województwa środkowopomorskiego – wskazuje Sejmik Województwa pomorskiego w projekcie uchwały, która ma być dzisiaj przedmiotem dyskusji. To jedyny punkt nadzwyczajnej sesji.
Sejmik Województwa Pomorskiego już w uchwale z dnia marca 2004 roku przedstawił negatywną opinię o projekcie ustawy w sprawie utworzenia województwa środkowopomorskiego zgłoszonego w ramach obywatelskiej inicjatywy ustawodawczej – czytamy w projekcie uchwały. Brak aprobaty dla tej inicjatywy wyraził wówczas również Prezydent Lech Kaczyński. „Trudno nie uznać takiej inicjatywy za anachroniczną i szkodliwą nie tylko dla regionów północnej Polski, ale dla całego kraju stojącego wobec wyzwania racjonalnego i efektywnego wykorzystania środków z perspektywy budżetowej Unii Europejskiej na lata 2014 – 2020, z wielkim trudem uzgodnionej w czasochłonnych negocjacjach z Komisją Europejską – napisano w projekcie, nad którym będą dziś dyskutować radni sejmiku.
Podkreślono w nim między innymi, że zmiana liczby i granic województw wiązałaby się z koniecznością renegocjacji wszystkich szesnastu regionalnych programów operacyjnych, z uwzględnieniem koniecznych przesunięć środków pomiędzy nimi. „Oczekujemy, że granice samorządowych województw będą nadal tak wytyczone, żeby uwzględniać wolę społeczności tworzących samorządy gminne i powiatowe oraz sprzyjać umacnianiu się tożsamości regionalnej” – napisano w projekcie rezolucji. Zwrócono w nim uwagę, że podzielenie Kaszub pomiędzy województwo pomorskie i ewentualne nowo utworzone województwo środkowopomorskie, spotka się na ziemi kaszubskiej ze stanowczą dezaprobatą społeczną. Nadzwyczajna sesja sejmiku ma się rozpocząć w samo południe.
