Czterej sportowcy z nagrodą prezydenta Gdyni
Czterej sportowcy z nagrodą prezydenta Gdyni – w tym bobsleiści zakwalifikowani na Zimowe Igrzyska Olimpijskie. Krzysztof Tylkowski i Łukasz Miedzik będą jedynymi zawodnikami z Trójmiasta na olimpiadzie i pierwszymi od 30 lat na najważniejszej imprezie sportowej na świecie.
– To nagroda za lata pracy i wyrzeczeń, których efektem są historyczne dla Gdyni osiągnięcia sportowe – podkreśla prezydent Wojciech Szczurek.
Trenują w Wojskowym Klubie Sportowym Flota Gdynia. Finansową nagrodę i list gratulacyjny odebrał także czterokrotny rekordzista w wyciskaniu sztangi leżąc Wojciech Grabowski oraz złota medalistka ubiegłorocznego Pucharu Świata w pływaniu ekstremalnym w Tallinie Anna Suszyńska. Samorząd z Gdyni od lat nagradza za wybitne osiągnięcia. W listopadzie nagrody z rąk prezydenta miasta odebrali młodzi sportowcy: trzech żeglarzy, szachistka i pilot szybowcowy.
