Czarno-żółta flaga załopotała wczoraj na rynku w Kartuzach. Wciągnięto ją na maszt z okazji Święta Kaszubskiej Flagi, uczestnicy uroczystości odśpiewali hymn „Zëmia rodnô” i złożyli kwiaty na grobie Aleksandra Majkowskiego.
To święto nowe, zainicjowane w ubiegłym roku przez stowarzyszenie Kaszëbskô Jednota – zrzeszające członków narodowości kaszubskiej. Ma przypominać ludziom o czarno-żółtych barwach będących wyróżnikiem Kaszubów. – Aż serce się uradowało kiedy zobaczyłem dziś rozwieszone w całych Kartuzach kaszubskie flagi – mówił działacz kaszubski Artur Jabłoński.
Święto Kaszubskiej Flagi obchodzone jest na pamiątkę pierwszego publicznego wywieszenia czarno – żółtej flagi 18. sierpnia 1929 r. w Kartuzach – było to podczas spotkania założycielskiego Zrzeszenia Regionalnego Kaszubów którego pierwszym prezesem był Aleksander Majkowski.
