Coraz więcej otyłych dzieci w szkołach
Aż 28 proc. chłopców i 22 proc. dziewcząt w ostatnich klasach szkoły podstawowej ma nadwagę lub jest otyłych – wykazały najnowsze badania Instytutu Żywności i Żywienia w Warszawie.
Tempo, w jakim przybywa otyłych dzieci i nastolatków jest wyższe, niż przewidywano jeszcze 10 lat temu. W 1971 roku było u nas 10 proc. chłopców i 8,5 proc. dziewcząt z nadwagą i otyłością. Według specjalistów dzieci tyją, ponieważ źle się odżywiają i są coraz mniej aktywne. Z najnowszych badań Instytutu Żywienia wynika, że pierwsze śniadanie przed wyjściem do szkoły zjada jedynie 55 proc. uczniów. Jeszcze gorzej jest z drugim śniadaniem, które zabiera ze sobą do szkoły tylko 42 proc. uczniów. Mówiły dzieci z gimnazjum w Kartuzach. Problem otyłości, to też problem zwolnień z zajęć w-f-u uważa Anna Walendziak, nauczycielka wychowania fizycznego, w Gimnazjum nr 1 w Kartuzach. Dodajmy, że Ministerstwo Sportu chce wprowadzić w całej Polsce program „Stop zwolnieniom z wf-u”, która ma zachęcić młodych do uczestnictwa w lekcjach wychowania fizycznego.
