Chemikalia zatrzymali celnicy z Oddziału „Terminal Kontenerowy”
Ponad 16 ton niebezpiecznych chemikaliów zatrzymali celnicy z Oddziału „Terminal Kontenerowy” w Gdańsku. Wartość nielegalnej przesyłki wyniosła prawie 8,5 mln zł.
Kontener z chemikaliami przypłynął do Gdańska z Chin. Docelowo miał trafić na Ukrainę. Na opakowaniach środków ochrony roślin funkcjonariusze stwierdzili brak wymaganych oznaczeń. Po kontakcie z koordynatorem ds. ochrony środowiska z Izby Celnej w Gdyni, a następnie międzynarodowych konsultacjach zapadła decyzja o zatrzymaniu chemikaliów. Kontener zawierający 1 tys. 200 kartonów środków ochrony roślin został ponownie zaplombowany. Po orzeczeniu sądu o przepadku na rzecz Skarbu Państwa niebezpieczna przesyłka zostanie zniszczona.
To największe z dotychczasowych zatrzymanie nielegalnych chemikaliów przez Służbę Celną.
