Chëcz – premiera płyty i koncert w Wejherowie – 15 XI
Wejherowskie Centrum Kultury wraz z Muzeum Piśmiennictwa i Muzyki Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej w Wejherowie zaprasza na koncert promujący nową płytę zespołu Chëcz, który po 15-letniej przerwie powraca na rynek muzyczny z nowym materiałem. Jeszcze bardziej rockowo, jeszcze bardziej bezkompromisowo – kultowa kaszubska formacja jest dziś w najlepszej formie od lat. Płyta „Dërnosc” to energetyczna rockowa muzyka plus odważne i zaangażowane teksty autorstwa luzinianina Adama Hebla, śpiewane po kaszubsku przez charyzmatycznego wokalistę Piotra Kapczyńskiego. Na wejherowskim koncercie Chëcz zagra utwory z nowej płyty, a także przypomni kompozycje z poprzednich lat działalności i udowodni, że kaszubski rock nie umarł, ale ma się świetnie jak nigdy dotąd.
Zespół Chëcz powstał w 1999 roku i kilka miesięcy później nagrał płytę „Do Młodëch”, która z miejsca stała się sensacją nie tylko na Kaszubach. Po raz pierwszy młodzi artyści zmierzyli się z trudną poezją Jana Trepczyka adaptując ją do muzyki rockowej. Premiera płyty „Do Młodëch”, wydanej przez Muzeum Piśmiennictwa i Muzyki Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej w Wejherowie, była wydarzeniem na tyle unikalnym, że relację z jej premiery zamieścił ogólnopolski program informacyjny Teleexpress. Zespół szybko stał się bardzo popularny na folkowo/rockowej scenie i wystąpił we wszystkich polskich stacjach telewizyjnych, a także zaczął koncertować w całej Polsce oraz za granicą, m.in. w Szwecji, Niemczech i Holandii. Na temat zespołu powstał film dokumentalny zrealizowany przez jedną z holenderskich telewizji, a wywiady z zespołem ukazały się m.in. w niemieckiej prasie oraz programie stacji BBC. Najważniejszym jednak efektem popularności płyty „Do Młodëch” stała się mała kaszubska rewolucja muzyczna, na fali której powstało wiele nowych zespołów, które zaczęły w świeży i nowoczesny sposób podchodzić do tematyki języka kaszubskiego.
Zespół zagra w składzie: Piotr Kapczyński – śpiew, Sławomir Kliszewski – perkusja, Arkadiusz Kraśniewski – bas, Adam Urbanowicz – instrumenty klawiszowe, Łukasz Mateja – skrzypce, Marcin Popek – gitary.
