Chcą samodzielnego Ośrodka Kultury Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej
Kaszubi w Gdyni chcą utworzyć samodzielny Ośrodek Kultury Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej. W tej sprawie trwają negocjacje w władzami miasta – poinformowała dzisiaj na naszej antenie poseł Teresa Hoppe. Długoletnia działaczka Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego w Gdyni przekonuje, że Kaszubi stanowią w mieście 30% mieszkańców i samodzielna jednostka poświęcona ich kulturze Gdyni się należy.
W mieście od 12 lat działa już Ośrodek Kultury Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej, ale jest on włączony w działalność Miejskiej Biblioteki Publicznej. – To mocno ogranicza nasze działanie – twierdzi poseł Teresa Hoppe.
Obecnie w ramach Ośrodka Kultury Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej w Gdyni działa biblioteka regionalna, organizowane są też wykłady i spotkania dotyczące kultury kaszubskiej. Członkowie Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego w Gdyni chcieliby, aby Ośrodek stał się samodzielną jednostką finansowaną przez samorząd miejski.
