Coraz popularniejsze stają się budżety obywatelskie. O części miejskich wydatków mogą już decydować mieszkańcy Gdyni, Gdańska, Kościerzyny, Wejherowa i Rumi. W tych samorządach już można składać pisemne propozycje projektów do realizacji. W Wejherowie dodatkowo każ dy pomysł powinien być poparty podpisami 50 mieszkańców. Później za pomocą strony internetowej najbardziej potrzebne projekty będą wybrane w głosowaniu internetowym. Budżet obywatelski to sposób na aktywizację mieszkańców – podkreśla Zdzisław Czucha, burmistrz Kościerzyny, gdzie bud żet obywatelski jest już realizowany po raz drugi. W Kościerzynie w ramach budżetu obywatelskiego przeznaczono 400 tysięcy złotych. Tam wnioski można składać do końca sierpnia.
