Budują mieszkania przejściowe dla bezdomnych
Mają być wstępem do nowego życia – w dawnej siedzibie Miejskiego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej w Lęborku powstają mieszkania przejściowe dla bezdomnych. Na zakwaterowanie będzie mogło liczyć ponad 50 osób.
– Nowi lokatorzy będą musieli sami zarobić na swój byt oraz partycypować w kosztach utrzymania domu, będą też nadzorowani przez pracowników MOPS – mówi dyrektor Ośrodka, Elżbieta Michalska.
Do tej pory MOPS w Lęborku dysponował tylko noclegownią dla osób bezdomnych. Przeprowadzka Ośrodka do nowej siedziby przy ul. Wyszyńskiego umożliwiła adaptację starego budynku przy ul. Łokietka na mieszkania przejściowe. Na 650 metrach kwadratowych powstanie 56 miejsc w pięciu mieszkaniach – każde będzie miało wspólną kuchnię i zostanie połączone ciągiem komunikacyjnym. Inwestycja jest obecnie na etapie wykończenia, a mieszkania przejściowe zostaną oddane do użytku na początku przyszłego roku. Koszt to 620 tysięcy złotych.
