Biblioteka Główna AMW w Gdyni będzie nosić imię Lecha Kaczyńskiego
Biblioteka Główna Akademii Marynarki Wojennej w Gdyni będzie nosić imię Lecha Kaczyńskiego. W ten sposób uczelnia chce uczcić tragicznie zmarłego Prezydenta RP.
Uroczystość nadania imienia odbędzie się 12 marca. Data nie jest przypadkowa, w tym dniu mija dokładnie 10 lat od momentu wizyty śp. Lecha Kaczyńskiego w AMW. Był to jedyny urzędujący Zwierzchnik Sił Zbrojnych, który odwiedził Akademię. Biblioteka, której będzie patronem, jest najnowocześniejszym tego typu obiektem na Pomorzu. Budowa gmachu trwała pięć lat, do użytku oddano go w 2012 roku. Pełni zadania multimedialnej biblioteki oraz akademickiego centrum dydaktyczno-konferencyjnego.
