Bezpłatne badania na obecność wirusa HCV w Gdyni
W Gdyni można dziś skorzystać z bezpłatnego badania anty – HCV. Miasto jest jednym z 16-u w Polsce objętych kampanią „Nie daj się zaskoczyć” prowadzoną przez katowicką Fundację “Gwiazda Nadziei”.
Okazją do badania jest przypadający dziś Światowy Dzień WZW, czyli wirusowego zapalenia wątroby. Szacuje się, że w Polsce ponad 230 tysięcy osób jest zakażonych HCV, jednak niewiele z nich zostało zdiagnozowanych. Większość zakażonych przez wiele lat nie odczuwa żadnych dolegliwości, a niewykryta choroba może prowadzić do marskości lub raka wątroby.
W Gdyni z bezpłatnego badania anty-HCV może dziś skorzystać 250 osób. Wystarczy przyjść do punku przy ulicy Wielkopolskiej 44 do godziny 14:30. Dla osób z pozytywnym wynikiem udostępniona zostanie pogłębiona diagnostyka – badanie, które pozwala ocenić, czy wirus nadal jest w organizmie.
