„Bezpieczny Powiat” po raz pierwszy z udziałem sołtysów
By podsumować dotychczasowe osiągnięcia i wytyczyć nowe cele samorządowcy, przedstawiciele instytucji samorządowych i służb mundurowych spotkali się w Wejherowie na konferencji „Bezpieczny Powiat”. Po raz pierwszy na konferencję zaproszono także sołtysów z powiatu wejherowskiego.
– Mamy też nowe pomysły, a jednym z nich jest zaangażowanie do współpracy sołtysów mówi naczelnik wydziału bezpieczeństwa i zarządzania kryzysowego wejherowskiego starostwa, Kazimierz Grubba.
Piątkowe spotkanie różniło się od poprzednich z tego cyklu, bo podsumowywało 25 lat działalności samorządu w zakresie bezpieczeństwa. Omawiano szereg zagadnień związanych z udziałem samorządów w kształtowaniu bezpieczeństwa publicznego, zaprezentowano też osiągnięcia powiatu w tej dziedzinie. Wśród nich m.in. uruchomiony w 2008 roku za kwotę ponad 2,5 miliona złotych z unijnych środków system informatycznego wspomagania ratownictwa, na który skorzystały Państwowa i Ochotnicze Straże Pożarne w powiecie.
Podkreślono też rolę samorządu w kształtowaniu bezpieczeństwa dzieci i młodzieży, wśród których powiatowe służby prowadzą cykliczne akcje edukacyjne w szkołach. Kryzys to nie tyko wielkie katastrofy, może się też wydarzyć w skali mikro – mówi dyrektor powiatowego centrum pomocy rodzinie w Wejherowie, Iwona Romanowska. Powiat wejherowski prowadzi unikalny w skali kraju program olimpiad tematycznych z zakresu bezpieczeństwa dla młodzieży gimnazjalnej i ponadgimnazjalnej.
