Benedykt Karczewski obchodził 90. urodziny
Konferencją „Artisticznym słowã ò Kaszëbach” swoje 90 urodziny uczcił w Kościerzynie Benedykt Karczewski – twórca kaszubskiej porcelany z Łubiany i autor 15 tomików wierszy w rodnej mowie.
Twórczość Karczewskiego to wiersze i poematy o tematyce społeczno-politycznej oraz liryczne wspomnienia o latach dziecinnych. Ich sednem jest umiłowanie Kaszub i troska o ich przyszłość – podkreślali prelegenci. Byli wśród nich m.in.: literaturoznawca profesor Tadeusz Linkner i poetka Bożena Ugowska. Benedykt Karczewski w swojej twórczości porusza m.in. tematy wychowania młodzieży, nauki języka kaszubskiego w szkole oraz sytuacji politycznej Kaszub. Opublikował łącznie 195 wierszy zebranych w 15 tomikach.
