– W rankingu osób w wieku 16-24 lat, które kiedykolwiek napisały jakiś program komputerowy, młode Polki i Polacy zajmują dopiero 22. pozycję na 27 krajów europejskich. Program GO PRO ma poprawić te statystyki – wyjaśnia dyrektor biblioteki w Szemudzie Iwona Piastowska.
Będą się uczyć programowania komputerowego poprzez zabawę – młodzi czytelnicy dwóch bibliotek na Kaszubach, w Szemudzie i Luzinie. W naszym województwie do programu GO PRO przystąpiła jeszcze placówka w Trąbkach Wielkich, a w całej Polsce takich bibliotek będzie w sumie 20. Uczniowie szkół podstawowych i gimnazjalnych bawiąc się będą rozwijać kreatywność oraz uczyć się logicznego myślenia i rozwiązywania problemów. Biblioteki zostały wyposażone w sprzęt multimedialny i rozpoczęły rekrutację. Wszystko dlatego, że nie potrafimy programować. Biblioteki rozpoczęły już nabór do programu, liczba miejsc jest ograniczona. W gminie Szemud są cztery placówki, w każdej w zajęciach z programowania weźmie udział 6 uczniów.
