Amerykański okręt dowodzenia USS Mount Whitney w Gdyni
W gdyńskim porcie zacumował amerykański okręt dowodzenia USS Mount Whitney. Przypłynął z roboczą, czterodniową wizytą.
Flagowy okręt szóstej Floty Stanów Zjednoczonych odwiedza porty Morza Bałtyckiego, wcześniej jako okręt dowodzenia uczestniczył w tegorocznych ćwiczeniach Baltops, w których brały udział także polskie Siły Zbrojne. USS Mount Whitney ma 189 metrów długości i 33 szerokości.
Cumuje od wczorajszego wieczora przy Nabrzeżu Polskim, jednak ze względów bezpieczeństwa nie będzie udostępniony do zwiedzania. Będzie natomiast można zobaczyć jego załogę w akcji – na towarzyskim meczu marynarzy amerykańskich z polskimi. Rozegrają go o 10:00 na Narodowym Stadionie Rugby przy ulicy Kazimierza Górskiego w Gdyni.
