25 lat minęło odkąd Żukowo otrzymało prawa miejskie. Jutro z tej okazji zaplanowano nadanie honorowego obywatelstwa trzem osobom zasłużonym dla Żukowa oraz jubileuszowe koncerty. Wieś stała się ćwierć wieku temu miastem – by sięgnąć po pieniądze które wtedy były dostępne tylko na rozwój miast. Od tego czasu liczba mieszkańców niemal się podwoiła a burmistrz liczy że impulsem do dalszych zmian będą dwie ważne dla pomorza inwestycje – budowana już kolej metropolitalna i projektowana metropolitalna obwodnica. Jutro jednak będzie czas na podsumowań podczas świętowania jubileuszu. Na uroczystej sesji w samo południe zostaną podpisane umowy partnerskie – ze Świdnicą i łotewską Balvi. – Zostaną też nadane honorowe obywatelstwa – zaprasza burmistrz Żukowa Jerzy Żurawicz. Samorządowcy i zaproszeni goście zbiorą się jutro w samo południe w hali widowiskowo – sportowej gimnazjum nr 2. Tam też o 18:00 rozpocznie się jubileuszowy koncert Wystąpią zespoły ludowe i taneczne z Żukowa i partnerskich gmin, a na zakończenie koncert gwiazdy disco – polo, Tomasza Niecika.
