Przekroczysz prędkość o 50 km/h, stracisz prawo jazdy – policjant zabierze je od ręki. To jedna z propozycji zmian w kilku ustawach przygotowanych przez Ministerstwo Spraw Wewnętrznych do których dotarła Rzeczpospolita. W przyszłym tygodniu mają zostać przyjęte przez rząd. Drastyczne kary dla kierowców łamiących przepisy drogowe przygotowano w odpowiedzi na serię tragicznych wypadków. Z miejsca stracą prawo jazdy kierujący, którzy przekroczą dopuszczalną prędkość o 50 km/h i więcej, zostanie im odebrane na trzy miesiące. Za jazdę w tym czasie bez dokumentu kara zostanie przedłużona o pół roku. Do zatrzymania prawa jazdy niepotrzebny będzie sąd, wystarczy policja i starosta. Identyczna kara ma grozić tym, którzy będą przewozić w samochodach większą liczbę osób niż dozwolona w dowodzie rejestracyjnym. Zmiany czekają także świeżych kierowców – jeżdżących nie dłużej niż dwa lata. Niższy dozwolony limit punktów karnych to za mało – uznali autorzy projektu. Proponują dwuletni okres próbny. Jeśli w tym czasie kierowca popełni trzy wykroczenia drogowe albo jedno przestępstwo, straci prawo jazdy i będzie go czekać nowy kurs i egzamin. Proponowane przez MSW zmiany w kilku ustawach mają być przyjęte przez rząd w przyszłym tygodniu i mogą wejść w życie już w tym roku.
