Prezentacja filmu „Kult ciała” z koncertem zespołu Czerwie w Gdańsku | 17.02
W Gdańskim Teatrze Szekspirowskim odbędzie się pokaz arcydzieła kina niemego „Kult ciała”, do którego muzykę na żywo zagra znakomita polska formacja Czerwie. Film wyreżyserował w 1929 roku Michał Waszyński, autor słynnego „Dybuka”. Jedną z ról w „Kulcie ciała” gra legenda polskiego kina, Eugeniusz Bodo. Prezentacja filmu „Kult ciała” z koncertem zespołu Czerwie odbędzie się w gdańskim Teatrze Szekspirowskim 17 lutego o 19:00. Będziemy rozdawać na antenie podwójne zaproszenie na to wydarzenie.
Czesław (Victor Varconi) jest rzeźbiarzem. Poszukuje modelki do swej rzeźby „Nowa Wenus”. Poznaje piękną Hankę (Agnes Petersen), którą uznaje za idealną kandydatkę i skłania ją do pozowania. Wkrótce zakochuje się w niej, a ona w nim, miłością gwałtowną, niezrównaną… Pewnego dnia jego przyjaciel, baron Stumberg (Fryderyk Delius), przedstawia mu Hankę jako swoją narzeczoną. Zrozpaczony Czesław szuka zapomnienia w alkoholu. Kiedy Stumberg dowiaduje się o ich miłości, postanawia wyjechać z Hanką, by zapomniała o Czesławie. Odbywają podróż po Europie. Boże Narodzenie spędzają na Riwierze. Hanka wyznaje Stumbergowi, że nie może zapomnieć Czesława, który tymczasem stacza się coraz niżej, choć jego wystawiona w Zachęcie rzeźba zostaje nagrodzona i uznana za arcydzieło. Nikt nie rozpoznaje w obdartym, zarośniętym mężczyźnie jej autora… Kiedy Czesław idzie do swojego atelier, zastaje w nim Hankę, czekającą na niego z utęsknieniem i miłością.
Film Michała Waszyńskiego jest adaptacją skandalizującej, jak na swoje czasy, powieści erotyczno-psychologicznej Mieczysława Srokowskiego pt. „Kult ciała. Dziennik człowieka samotnego” z 1910 roku. Ta polsko-austriacka koprodukcja, której premiera odbyła się 18 stycznia 1930 roku, realizowana była w Warszawie, Nicei, Wiedniu i Budapeszcie. Zyskała międzynarodowe uznanie, zdobywając Złoty Medal na festiwalu filmowym w Nicei . W Rumunii, Francji i Niemczech film znany jest pod tytułem „Rapsodia miłości“. Został odnaleziony w Królewskim Archiwum Filmowym w Brukseli. „Kult ciała” został udźwiękowiony jedynie na rynek europejski, ponieważ w Polskich kinach nie było jeszcze aparatury nagłośnieniowej. Prezentowany jest w ramach roku Michała Waszyńskiego w Polsce. Jego nasłynniejszą realizacją jest film „Dybuk” zrealizowany w 1937 roku, oparty na dramacie Szymona An-skiego pod tym samym tytułem. Jest to pierwszy w Polsce
pełnometrażowy film nagrany całkowicie w języku jidysz. Uznawany za najwybitniejszy film żydowski wyprodukowany w Polsce.
Projekcję filmu dopełni muzyka na żywo w wykonaniu zespołu Czerwie, który już dwukrotnie gościł w Gdańskim Teatrze Szekspirowskim, dając niezapomniane koncerty. Czerwie to niezależna polska formacja, której styl, to pogranicze folku i etno, inspirowany teatrem absurdu i filmem. Na swoim koncie mają muzykę do wielu projektów teatralnych (m.in. „Albośmy to jacy, tacy“ w reż. Piotra Cieplaka w Teatrze Powszechnym im. Z. Hübnera w Warszawie) i filmowych, a od kilku lat tworzą głównie muzykę do arcydzieł kina niemego. W skład grupy wchodzi obecnie 4 muzyków – Wojtek Zaborowski, Maciek Kudłacik, Paweł Zawarus, Piotrek Bogunia – a ich instrumentarium, to: perkusja, ksylofon, instrumenty perkusyjne, instrumenty etniczne, bas, gitara, mandolina, akordeon i syntezatory. W swojej dyskografii muzycy mają 5 autorskich albumów. W roku 2004 wydali album pt. „Padlina“ z gościnnym udziałem Macieja Maleńczuka i Andrzeja Przybielskiego. W roku 2008 stworzyli projekt „Otwarta Sztuka Dla Ludu“, który niejednokrotnie gościł na antenach polskich i europejskich stacji radiowych. W 2013 roku grupa wydała album „Czerwie Nosferatu Live” będący muzycznym zapisem trasy koncertowej pod tym samym tytułem. Miłość może być romantyczna, ale i toksyczna, jest miłość rodzicielska, jest i małżeńska… Przykłady ilustrowane będą obrazami z filmowych adaptacji sztuk Szekspira. Wykład poprowadzi Anna Ratkiewicz, Kierownik Działu Edukacji GTS, doktorantka UG
