W Chmielnie w debacie udział wziął tylko jeden kandydat.
W Chmielnie odbyła się debata kandydatów na wójta gminy. W pierwszej turze odpadli – Magdalena Pokojska i Andrzej Czaja.
W drugiej turze zmierzą się Michał Melibruda, który uzyskał niespełna 43% poparcia i Maria Piotrowiak z 25% poparcia. Niestety, Maria Piotrowiak nie stawiła się debacie, a pełnomocnik Komitetu Wyborczego wydał krótkie oświadczenie. Na pytania dziennikarzy i mieszkańców gminy odpowiadał więc tylko Michał Melibruda, który skupiał się głównie na sprawach budżetu. Druga tura odbędzie się w najbliższą niedzielę. Chmielno jest jedyną gminą w powiecie kartuskim, w której o wyborze wójta zdecyduje dogrywka.
