Będzie ograniczenie prędkości na trasie z Redy przez Wejherowo do Gościcina
Ograniczenie prędkości ma zostać wprowadzone na trasie z Redy przez Wejherowo do Gościcina. To właśnie na krajowej szóstce działa słynny fotoradar przy skrzyżowaniu z ulicą Orzeszkowej, na który narzekają kierowcy. Postulowali tam m.in. zamontowanie licznika świateł, tymczasem Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad znalazła inne rozwiązanie – ograniczenie prędkości do 50 kilometrów na godzinę. Fotoradar był bohaterem materiału interwencyjnego dziennikarzy TVN UWAGA, problem stał się znany w całym kraju. Kierowcy którzy nie zdążyli wyhamować na żółtym świetle wjeżdżali na skrzyżowanie podczas zmiany na światło czerwone, co uwiecznia fotoradar. Niektórzy nauczyli się przed skrzyżowaniem ostro hamować, co powoduje stłuczki. Mieszkańcy Wejherowa postulowali wprowadzenie sekundnika z wyświetlaczem nad sygnalizacją, żeby wiadomo było kiedy wyhamować. Innym pomysłem było wydłużenie światła żółtego z trzech do pięciu sekund. Jeszcze inne rozwiązanie znalazł zarządca drogi: wprowadzamy ograniczenie by poprawić bezpieczeństwo na tej trasie – mówi Piotr Michalski z Generalnej Dyrekcji Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad oddział w Gdańsku. Generalna Dyrekcja jednocześnie z ograniczeniem prędkości pisze do Ministerstwa Transportu postulując wyjątek w przepisach. Jeśli resort zgodzi się na wydłużenie zapalania światła żółtego, możemy wrócić do rozmów o przywróceniu ograniczenia do 70 kilometrów na godzinę – dodaje Michalski. Zapowiada wprowadzenie ograniczenia w połowie maja.
