Dzisiaj w Kościele Katolickim początek Triduum Paschalnego
Dzisiaj w Kościele Katolickim – Wielki Czwartek – początek Triduum Paschalnego. To najważniejsze wydarzenie w roku, w którym katolicy celebrują Mękę, Śmierć i Zmartwychwstanie Chrystusa.
– Dla parafian obrzędy rozpoczną się wieczorem uroczystą Mszą Wieczerzy Pańskiej, która ma przygotować wiernych do Zmartwychwstania – mówi ksiądz Mirosław Węsierski z Wygody.
W godzinach porannych w dniu tym odprawiana jest uroczysta Msza Krzyżma Świętego, odprawiana w katedrze przez biskupa danej diecezji i koncelebrowana przez wszystkich księży. Dokonywane jest m.in. poświęcenie olejów używanych do namaszczenia chorych, które zabierane są następnie do poszczególnych parafii. Wielki Czwartek to też święto wszystkich księży.
Wieczorem w Wielki Czwartek odprawiana jest uroczysta Msza Wieczerzy Pańskiej, która rozpoczyna Triduum Paschalne. Sprawowana jest na pamiątkę Ostatniej Wieczerzy, podczas której Jezus Chrystus ustanowił w obecności swoich apostołów sakrament Eucharystii oraz sakrament kapłaństwa. Po jej zakończeniu, aż do mszy Wigilii Paschalnej odprawianej w Wielką Sobotę wieczorem, zamiast stalowych gongów i dzwonów używane będą w kościołach drewniane kołatki.
