W Gdyni rozpoczyna się rozbudowa skrzyżowania ulicy płk. Dąbka z Trasą Kwiatkowskiego. Prace mają potrwać 10 miesięcy.
To inwestycja kluczowa dla mieszkańców północnych dzielnic Gdyni i dojeżdżających do Trójmiasta przez Kosakowo – ma udrożnić skrzyżowanie często zakorkowane w godzinach porannego i popołudniowego szczytu. Pozwoli na to wydzielenie dodatkowych pasów ruchu. Wybudowany zostanie nowy pas skrętu w lewo dla jadących Kwiatkowskiego w górę w stronę płk Dąbka i dalej na Kosakowo. Dla jadących od Kosakowa również będzie dodatkowy pas. Powstanie też ścieżka rowerowa i przystanek z zatoką autobusową, wymieniona i naprawiona zostanie infrastruktura podziemna – szczególnie wodociągowa i gazowa. Całkowity koszt to 12 mln zł, prace mają potrwać do czerwca przyszłego roku. W rozpoczętym dziś pierwszym etapie przez tydzień drogowcy będą pracować poza jezdnią. Od przyszłego poniedziałku zwężona zostanie jezdnia ulicy Dąbka między ulicami Andersa i Maciejewicza – ruch prowadzony będzie po jednym pasie w każdym kierunku.
