W Kościerzynie uroczyście otwarto odnowiony, zabytkowy dworzec PKP
Jest piękniej, czyściej i oryginalniej – tak o odrestaurowanym dworcu PKP w Kościerzynie mówią mieszkańcy miasta. Inwestycję oficjalnie zakończono w sobotę.
Budynek z końca 19. wieku odzyskał swój dawny blask: odnowiono zabytkową elewację, a wewnątrz główny hall, toalety, kasy oraz pomieszczenia przeznaczone na gastronomię i sklepy. Modernizacja dworca w Kościerzynie jest częścią większego projektu – powstającego w mieście węzła integracyjnego, który ma ułatwić przesiadanie się do środków komunikacji zbiorowej z samochodu czy roweru. Kolejne prace rozpoczniemy w przyszły roku – zapowiada burmistrz Michał Majewski. Cały węzeł z parkingiem na 300 aut, tunelem pod torami w stronę Muzeum Kolejnictwa i siecią prawie 20 km ścieżek rowerowych ma być gotowy do 2020.
