Rumia została wyróżniona w konkursie Najlepsza Przestrzeń Publiczna Województwa Pomorskiego
Rumia została wyróżniona w konkursie Najlepsza Przestrzeń Publiczna Województwa Pomorskiego. Miasto otrzymało nagrodę za projekt „Ciągu Pieszo-Rowerowego wzdłuż Zagórskiej Strugi”.
Jest to kolejna nagroda na przestrzeni roku przyznana Rumi, mówi wiceburmistrz Piotr Wittbrodt. Ciąg pieszo-rowerowy „Zagórzanka” ułatwia komunikację, łącząc Miejski Dom Kultury z Miejskim Ośrodkiem Sportu i Rekreacji w Rumi. Ciąg pieszo rowerowy o długości około 700 metrów kosztował 1,5 mln złotych i w całości został pokryty z budżetu miasta. Inwestycja została oddana do użytku mieszkańców w czerwcu 2017 roku. Konkurs na Najlepszą Przestrzeń Publiczną Województwa Pomorskiego został zorganizowany po raz 13. Nagrodę główną przyznano Gdańskowi za „Rewaloryzację Parku Oruńskiego”. W kategorii gminy miejskie przyznano dwa wyróżnienia: dla Rumi oraz dla Pruszcza Gdańskiego.
