Konsumentom mogą być sprzedawane wyłącznie świeże jaja
Jaja od szczęśliwych kur, świeże, wiejskie, fermowe – na co zwrócić uwagę podczas przedświątecznych zakupów radzi Urząd Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów. I prowadzi kontrole w sklepach, hurtowniach i na targowiskach. Przede wszystkich warto uważnie przyjrzeć się opakowaniu. Konsumentom mogą być sprzedawane wyłącznie jaja świeże – czyli klasy A. Producent ma też obowiązek poinformować o swojej nazwie, siedzibie, dacie minimalnej trwałości jajek i metodzie chowu kur. –Tymczasem co trzecia na ponad pół tysiąca skontrolowanych partii wzbudziła zastrzeżenia inspektorów właśnie nieprawidłowym oznakowaniem – wyjaśnia zastępca dyrektora Departamentu Inspekcji Handlowej Dariusz Łomowski. Przypomina, że oprócz opakowania powinna być oznakowana skorupka każdego jaja. Numer, jaki na niej znajdziemy rozpoczyna cyfra od 0 do 3 – informująca o metodzie chowu kur. Ta informacja ma znaczenie, bo jaja z chowu klatkowego są tańsze niż z wolnego wybiegu.
