Od początku roku ponad tysiąc pożarów traw
Plaga pożarów traw na Pomorzu. Od stycznia było ich już ponad tysiąc – to trzykrotnie więcej niż rok temu. Strażacy apelują do mieszkańców o rozsądek i ostrożność. Najczęstszą przyczyną pożarów traw są podpalenia. Proceder jest bardzo niebezpieczny – ogień szybko się rozprzestrzenia i stanowi zagrożenie pożarowe dla okolicznych zabudowań oraz życia ludzi. Niestety większość sądzi, że wypalaniem użyźni ziemię, co jest nieprawdą – przypomina rzecznik kościerskich strażaków Wiesław Kiedrowicz. Kościerscy strażacy w tym roku wyjeżdżali do pożarów traw już 27 razy. Przypomnijmy, że za wypalanie traw grożą sankcje karne. Policja lub straż miejska ma prawo nałożyć mandat do kwoty pięciu tysięcy złotych. Rolnikom wypalającym trawy Agencja Restrukturyzacji i Modernizacji Rolnictwa może odebrać również część dopłat bezpośrednich.
