Indywidualne wsparcie oraz reintegracja społeczna – to przepis na sukces Centrum Integracji Społecznej w Rumi. Placówka jako pierwsza w powiecie wprowadza też system pracy wspieranej.

Centrum w Rumi działa od kwietnia ubiegłego roku. Pomoc znajdują tu bezrobotni w praktycznej nauce zawodu. Dla każdego wsparcie dobierane jest według jego predyspozycji, w razie potrzeby może być zmienione. Z pierwszej, dwudziestoosobowej grupy siedem znalazło pracę dużo wcześniej od zakładanego, rocznego cyklu. Za naukę przez cztery dni w tygodniu uczestnicy otrzymują 730 zł netto świadczenia integracyjnego oraz codziennie ciepły posiłek. Przechodzą badania lekarskie, otrzymują strój roboczy. Uzupełnieniem całości jest w poniedziałki reintegracja społeczna. Wsparcie finansowe mogą otrzymać także przedsiębiorcy zatrudniający absolwentów Centrum. Rumska placówka jest pierwszą w powiecie, dla której tę procedurę uruchomił Powiatowy Urząd Pracy w Wejherowie. Do CIS kierowani są podopieczni MOPS w Rumi, ale można się też zgłosić samemu.
