W Rumi przystępują do modernizacji stadionu
W Rumi stadion MOSiRuzmieni się nie do poznania dzięki modernizacji wartej 5 mln zł. Podpisano umowę z wykonawcą prac. Najważniejszą częścią planowanej inwestycji będzie przebudowa bieżni okólnej – praktycznie niezmienianej od powstania stadionu w latach 60. ubiegłego wieku.
Zamiast czterech torów będzie sześć. Żwirowa nawierzchnia, która teraz tonie podczas deszczu, zastąpiona zostanie nawierzchnią tartanową. Powstanie też odwodnienie. Dodatkowo w miejscu starego asfaltu powstanie boisko lekkoatletyczne o sztucznej nawierzchni, służące sportowcom między innymi do rozgrzewki. W planach jest też przebudowa rozbiegu do skoku w dal i trójskoku, rzutni do rzutu kulą, a także budowa zakola lekkoatletycznego do skoku wzwyż. Wymienione zostaną bramki, wykonane nowe ogrodzenie i oświetlenie. Pięciomilionowa inwestycja w rumski stadion nie byłaby możliwa bez dofinansowania. Miejski samorząd pozyskał 900 tys. zł z Ministerstwa Sportu i Turystyki oraz 400 tys zł z Narodowego Funduszu Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej. Prace mają się zacząć w tym miesiącu.
