Elektryfikacja i dodatkowy tor na linii 201 poprawią ruch z Trójmiasta do Kartuz i Kościerzyny. W czasie remontu pasażerowie będą wożeni po tzw. linii kokoszkowskiej – potwierdził w naszym porannym programie dyrektor Regionu Północnego PKP PLK – Andrzej Osipów.
– W tej chwili trwa przetarg na wyłonienie wykonawcy prac, które usprawnią ruch pociągów i przewóz towarów – podkreśla Andrzej Osipów.
Modernizacja linii Maksymilianowo-Kościerzyna to największy kolejowy projekt na Pomorzu w ciągu najbliższych lat. Ma się rozpocząć od 2020-go roku. Dodatkowy, trzeci tor powstanie z Gdańska Osowy do Gdyni Głównej. Zbudowany zostanie też drugi tor między Gdynią a Kościerzyną, linia zostanie też zelektryfikowana. Na czas remontu linię z Gdyni do Kartuz trzeba będzie zamknąć. By utrzymać połączenie kolejowe z południa Kaszub do Trójmiasta zrewitalizowana zostanie dawna linia kokoszkowska. Linia kokoszkowska ma być gotowa w pierwszym kwartale 2021 roku. Szacowany koszt całej inwestycji na trasie Maksymilianowo-Kościerzyna-Gdynia to 1 mld 800 mln złotych.
