Przywrócono ruch na ulicy Sienkiewicza w Gdyni
Zakończył się złożony remont drogi, która ucierpiała w zeszłym roku przez osunięcie skarpy na Kamiennej Górze. Zabezpieczona i umocniona jezdnia została oddana do użytku dzisiaj o 6 nad ranem.
Ulica przy okazji prac remontowo-porządkowych doczekała się nowej nawierzchni i chodników. Została w pełni odtworzona, wzmocniono konstrukcję skarpy, pojawił się mur oporowy i odwodnieni liniowe – mówi Wojciech Folejewski, zastępca Zarządu Dróg i Zieleni w Gdyni. Źródłem zniszczeń było osunięcie się fragmentu skarpy, do którego doszło w lutym ubiegłego roku. Tony błota i ziemi osunęły się w kierunku kamienicy zlokalizowanej przy ul. Sędzickiego 22 zalewając jej parter oraz niszcząc jezdnię ulicy Sienkiewicza. Koszt zabezpieczenia terenu osuwiska na Kamiennej Górze wraz z odbudową ulicy Sienkiewicza wyniósł 1 mln. 400 tys. złotych.
